you are not special

A bit of a strange title... but I wrote it about ego. It's a reminder that none of us is entitled to anything. At our core we're all the same, and any idea that we, or our culture, are better than someone else is a dangerous place to live.

A very vulnerable one for me. I wrote it during a long-distance relationship, about longing, and the sadness and pain that can come with loving someone from far away.

A one-off for winterburn: a future bass track, inspired by DROELOE, one of my all-time favourite artists. It started as an experiment to see if I could make one. I wasn't planning to release it, but it's so weird that I think people need it.

A turning point for winterburn. It's where I finally felt I was starting to understand the music industry, and where my production took a big step up. It also sums up what I want winterburn to be: drawing on major genres and twisting them into my own voice.
